Jason leach

Jason offers percussion lessons at Mobile Music. He has been teaching for over 20 years and enjoys teaching young children as well as adults. Jason studied Rudimental Drumming under Tom Foote and Eric MacNeil. His experience entails serving for 10 years as the Assistant Director of the NCS Marching Band. He has written scores for high school marching and Scottish marching.


Stephanie Mercer

Stephanie offers piano lessons at Mobile Music. She holds a BS in Music Education and a MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.  Stephanie has over 15 years teaching experience in the one-on-one setting.  She believes that every student has music inside of them and it is the teacher’s job to help that student be the best musician he or she can be.  Lessons include piano technique, theory, and performance fundamentals.  In addition to teaching, Stephanie adjudicates area piano festivals, accompanies school choirs, serves as a pianist for various churches, and freelances in the Rochester and Finger Lakes regions.

Mariah Bondy

Mariah Bondy received her BM in Music Education from Nazareth College, and has been teaching privately for four years.  She enjoys performing as a professional cellist throughout her community, and is also a member of the Greater Rochester Women’s Philharmonic.  She specializes in beginning to advanced cello instruction, as well as beginning to intermediate violin and viola instruction.  Teaching music has become Mariah’s passion, and she is excited to share her gift with students of all ages.

dave hayden

Dave is an Eastman School of Music graduate who has been teaching since 1968.  After a 33 year career in public school music as well as an owner of an advertising and production company, he has settled in with us at Mobile Music teaching motivated students at all age levels.  He specializes in learning to sight read as well as preparing students for upper level NYSSMA and audition scenarios.

Dave strongly believes in the whole student and learning for learning’s sake. This he tries to instill in every individual.  His students have earned first chairs in organizations such as Wayne and Ontario All County Bands as well as Hochstein Wind Ensemble, Area All State, All State and All Eastern positions.

Since joining Mobile Music, his students have gone on to such prestigious colleges as the Eastman School of Music, Manhattan School of Music and SUNY Potsdam.


Gregg Christiansen 

Gregg Christiansen, a native of the Finger Lakes Region, is a composer, pianist, and guitarist with degrees from Oklahoma City University (B.M.) and the University of Oklahoma (M.M.).His background entails teaching at the University of Oklahoma, Saied Music Company, Cayuga Community College, Hobart & William Smith Colleges and Finger Lakes Community College. Gregg teaches piano lessons weekly at Mobile Music. His teaching style encompasses a blend of traditional theory and more fun techniques like playing duets with his students and sight reading. 


Dennis Repino

Dennis brings 20 years of teaching experience to Mobile Music. He offers guitar lessons that encompasses a variety of styles such as classical, jazz, folk, plectrum, finger style, and rock. He caters to children of all ages, adults and all experience levels. Dennis earned his BA, MM and DMA in classical guitar performance and literature. His other training includes Music Theory, Music Composition and Improvisation. 


dave meyers

Dave holds a Masters Degree in Music Performance and is a NYS Certified teacher where he taught for 8 years. He has been playing musical instruments for over 30 years including drum set, vibraphone and pan drums, and has been performing in the Rochester, Buffalo and Finger Lakes region for five years. Dave offers percussion lessons for every level. Dave has been teaching privately for over 10 years and encompasses an upbeat, enthusiastic performance based style.


Robert Pickert 

Robert has been offering lessons at Mobile Music for 16 years and caters to both beginners and advanced students. His teaching draws from a lifetime of experience as a performer, educator, arranger, director and studio musician. He was guitarist with the Proclaim worship team at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church for five years and served as music director for a number of special holiday musical dramatic presentations. As a member of the Music Department faculty of Finger Lakes Community College from 1984-1998, Robert taught guitar, bass guitar and directed the Guitar Workshop, Performance Classes and Jazz Band. He was the bassist and assistant to the Conductor for the Finger Lakes Concert Band and also contractor and accompanist with the popular summer Broadway concert series by the Finger Lakes Chorale. Robert spent a decade as a touring musician, performing with rock, jazz, blues and show bands all over the US and Canada.
